Welcome to the Women in Business Group

The Women in Business Group was founded in June 1992 and we celebrated our 15th Anniversary in 2007. The group is organised by a committee of volunteers from the local business community and is affiliated to the North Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.

The WIBG was established to offer opportunities for business and professional women in the Basingstoke and North Hampshire area to meet and to provide support and encouragement for the working woman. We bring together women who work for large, medium and small companies and women who work for themselves either at home or in commercial premises. This interesting mix of backgrounds provides an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, information, social contacts and reciprocal business. In short, an effective networking and support group for women.

Members who work from home find the Group of considerable assistance in making new contacts. Indeed, many professional women working in the centre of Basingstoke within an office environment also find it difficult to meet like-minded business women in congenial and non-intimidating surroundings. The Women in Business Group fills that gap.
